Covid: 30% in Karnataka is fully vaxed; 40% in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: While three fourth of the qualified Karnataka population has been given at least one dose, around 30% have been fully inoculated due to drive vaccination in rural areas taking steps.
In Bengaluru Urban, 82% got the first dose and about 40% got both Jab.
Vaccination data until 5 pm Saturday showed that the percentage of the eligible population was covered with both lower doses than the average country in 18 districts, with Haveri (16.7%) reported the lowest, followed by Kalaburagi (17.7%) ), Raichur (18.7%), Vijayapura (19.6%) and Bustomavi (20.7%).
In the first dose coverage, 16 districts are below the country average.
Overall, the state has provided a dose of 5.2 crores which cover more than 3.7 crore people with at least one dose, while more than 1.4 crores are fully inoculated.
Also, 13 districts besides Bengaluru Urban, were led by Kodagu (38.4%), Udupi (38%) and Ramanagara (37%), had seen full coverage than the country’s average.
Nationally, around 63% have received the first dose and 21% second dose.
Vax Dosage: The state is likely to break the August record for Urban Bengaluru Regency, within the boundaries of BBMP involving 198 wards in eight zones, more than 75 lakh target populations of 94.4 lakh (79.7%) received the first dose, and more than 36.7 lakh of them (40.% of the target population) is fully inoculated.
The rest of the district – five northern Taluk Bengaluru, South Bengaluru, Kengeri, my reform and Bengaluru East spread in nine city companies – have a target population of more than 10.6 lakh.
More than 11.4 lakh people have received the first dose.
Nearly 4.5 lakh from this has been given at a dose.
Karnataka, given more than 1 dose of crore in August, the highest for whatever month since vaccination began earlier this year.
The possibility to break the record in September.
Cowin data shows that the state has provided more than 91 doses of lakh (1-17 September) at an average of more than 5.3 lakh doses every day.
This is much higher than it looks up to mid-August.
Of these, more than 30.8 doses of lakh (34%) were given on September 17 as part of a special drive carried out nationally.
On September 8, the state gave a dose of nearly 7.7 lakh, followed by 6.7 lakh on September 6 and more than 4.3 lakh on September 7.
There are many days that see more than 3 lakh and 2 doses of lakh.
The lowest single coverage was on September 10 (60,203), followed on September 12 (79,410) and September 16 (81,385).
