Chennai: Six districts in Tamil Nadu continue to be in high-risk zones because they report between 200 and 500 new cases per million weeks, while all other districts are in medium risk because they report between 100 and 200 new cases per million weeks.
None of the districts in this country are in a low or extreme risk category, according to the Ministry of Health.
The high-risk district is Chengalpet, Coimbatore, Erode, Nagappatinam, Nilgiris and Thakhur.
Coimbatore has reported 355 cases per million a week, compared with 365 in Erode, 323 in Nilgiris and 302 in Chengalpet.
This was followed by Thanjavur (229) and Nagappatinam (219).
Thanjavur also has a weekly test level of nearly 2%, the highest in the state, followed by 1.8% in coimbatore.
“All districts in this country now report less than 500 new cases per million populations a week.
But the falling pace of the fall and new cases have almost a highlands in many districts.
At least 16 districts, the level of participants is higher than 1% despite the level Total ponytail drops to 1 out of 1.3 in the third week of July.
This is because of the gated community clusters, religious meetings, workplaces and inter-district travel, “said Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan.
With more relaxation, more people seem to violate masks and social blasphemy norms, especially in restaurants and places of worship, he said.
During the peak period of the second wave of pandemic – between April 29 and June 8 – the country reported an average of almost 28,000 cases and 340 deaths a day.
But after reporting more than 36,000 cases on May 21, new cases began to fall.
Although nearly 15 districts continue to report a marginal increase, the number of districts that reported a rise of less than 1-50% has risen.
Bed housing in the Covid-19 ward is less than 10% in almost all districts, keeping all districts in green.
However, public health officials said global evidence from the US and Canada clearly suggested this “Lull Period” could not be the cause of his satisfaction.
In a recent meeting chaired by Experts CM MK Stalin who discussed how Canada reported 3000 cases a day after weeks of sustainable decline in new cases.
All 50 states in the US have a high level of virus transmission – a surge that has occurred after the Lull phase is more than three months.
Among those infected, hospitalized and died, most people were not vaccinated.
“The current spike of infection in some countries globally is said to be more severe than the wave of previous pandemics.
We must remain vigilant, uphold the appropriate behavior of Covid and ensure the readiness of the state health system at all levels,” said Public Health Director Dr TS Selvavinayagam.
