Varanasi: The district witnessed a sudden surge in the number of active Covid-19 cases with five people confirmed as infected on Thursday.
However, there was no death because the virus was reported in the district in the last 24 hours.
According to a daily medical bulletin, with new cases the cumulative number of positive cases increased to 82,370.
So far, 81,564 patients have recovered in this district.
The number of active Covid cases increased to 33 in Varanasi.
In the Chandauli district, one person tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday increased the calculation of positive cases to 16,197.
So far, 15,838 patients have recovered in the district.
At present, Chandauli has two active Covid-19 cases.
Jaunpur District reported no new case and no recovery on Thursday.
There are seven active cases in this district.
In Ballia too, no new cases and recovery were reported on Thursday.
In Sonbhadra there are also no new cases reported.
At present, there are five active cases of Covid-19 in Sonbhadra.
