COIMBATORE: The workplace of this district child security officer (DCPO) has recognized 91 kids aged under 18 years that have dropped their parent(s) into Covid-19 according to Sunday.
Of these, relatives of 53 kids have sought financial aid from the authorities for their own survival.
On Saturday, main minister MK Stalin declared that the state authorities will deposit Rs 5 lakh in the title of their youngsters orphaned by Covid-19 and Rs 3 lakh to people who lost a single parent.
Kids who’ve lost their parents to COVID-19 and staying with family members or guardians will be provided a monthly allowance of Rs 3,000 until they turn 18.
An official in the DPCO office stated,”According to the Covid-19 departure record ready by the health area, we’re analyzing the household information of each deceased to determine if they have been parents of children aged under 18 decades.
Of the 1,104 Covid-19 deaths listed, we’ve completed confirming the particulars of 850.
” “We’ve identified 91 kids who had lost one or both parents and they belong to 61 households.
Unmarried parent, relatives or guardians of those children refused to ship them to authorities houses.
Family members of 51 children who had lost their parents into the virus and also two kids who lost their parents have hunted financial support in the authorities,” he explained.
As of this moment, supermarkets required for a few months was given to 20 such households by the associates of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), he further added.
Lately, Viviyan Jayaraj, 15, along with his brother Samuel Ebenezer, 8, also sacrificed their children and maternal grandma to Covid-19.
They are within the care of the paternal grandmother Saradha, 69.
Saradha stated,”The kids are yelling and always speaking in their parents since their death.
For a change, I’ve brought them in my daughter’s home in Mettupalayam.
We could stay at one of the daughters’ area for a little while, but we cannot do this eternally.
So, I have opted to lease a home close to my kid’s home and raise the kids in my own.
” Explaining that she’s been handling her expenditures together with her late husband’s retirement (Rs 8,000)she stated that she does not understand how she will care for the kids.
“The pandemic is unkind to me personally and my loved ones,” she added.
