Bhubaneswar: Covid Country Help number, 104, continues to be flooded with a call of jokes from vegetable made by unknown callers.
Ziqitza Healthcare Limited (ZHL), who operates the Help Desk Health, recently submitted a new complaint with the police Saheed Nagar here, looking for action against jokes.
“We first attract the attention of the commissional police with this problem in April last year.
However, the problem continues.
Mischief-Mongers continues to trouble our central call executives.
Their naughty behavior has demoted our employees.
We have filed other complaints with the police,” said Senior Vice President ZHL Sabyasachi Bal.
In addition to handling Covid related questions, ZHL’s central call center here also attend calls for ambulance services, including those for pregnant women and babies.
ZHL receives around 30,000-35,000 calls every day.
According to the 104 dial service operator, at least 10% of total fake and vulgar calls.
In the latest complaints, the company has shared 30 telephone numbers, whose callers speak in obscersee with female staff from the call center between January 1 and May 31 this year.
“We received fake and vulgar calls from the telephone number (7205789242) 492 times periodically.
Someone who was called from 9078397730 was no less than 201 times.
The caller from all 30 telephone numbers made a call often.
We have shared all these numbers with the police,” said Bisp.
Unknown callers insist on women’s call recipients share their personal numbers to chat, asking them to recharge their cellphones, invite them for lunch and dinner.
They threw a violation when the Women’s Call Center executives warned them about police actions.
“We didn’t just feel annoyed, but also worried for a sincere and depressed caller, who was forced to wait in the queue for a few minutes because of such a stupid call,” said the female staff.
Police, who have not arrested one-trash since last year, said efforts to identify the defendant.
“We appeal to people not to make fake and no need to go to the Helpline Health State number.
We tried to ensure the identity of the caller unknown by tracking their cellphones,” said Deputy Commissioner of the Uma Police Shankar Dash.
