Nashik: Only 20 of 200 beds in Covid wings from the place where Nashik civil hospitals are currently occupied with cases of coronavius far in all districts.
Ashok Thorat’s civilian surgeon on Friday said the patient’s entry flow had dropped after a decrease in the level of peposititivity in the district rural part.
Administration has decided to keep the entire strength of the staff in the wing of the covid hospital intact to be prepared for further pandemic waves.
Thorat said with a decrease in the number of cases, administration had instructed medical officers from various rural hospitals in all districts to send critical Covid people to a civil hospital.
Note Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) website revealed that there were 8,185 covid beds in 186 hospitals under the Civic body.
This bed covers 200 in Covid wings from a civil hospital.
Of the total beds in the hospital, only 446 are currently occupied.
The Covid case began to continue to decline in the city from mid-May.
Of the 24 covid health centers dedicated established in the district rural section, only 10 who treat people infected with the virus and the rest began to recognize non-covid patients.
When the pandemic was at its peak in the district during the end of April, there were more than 28,000 patients were active in the city limits and more than 17,000 in rural belts.
These patients were hospitalized or in the quarantine of the house.
As on August 5, this district has 1,421 active patients.
So far, 4,03,117 patients have been infected with Covid-19 in the district.
As many as 3,93,516 covid patients so far recovered and 8,528 surrendered to transmission.
Senior officials of Nashik civil hospital said the cases began to subside in all districts after mid-May.
Since then, the level of infection has been controlled and district health machines take precautions to ensure people who contract infections are immediately brought in care.
