Thiruvananthapuram: After undergoing criticism for regulating mass protest programs, said Covid norms, the BJP state unit has suspended all public programs and protests for two weeks since Monday.
State President BJP K Surendran said all party public programs had been suspended in the accounts of increased Covid cases in the state.
As a result, major mass protest programs against the front of India are popularly canceled for now.
The party has faced the flast to organize a public program against fundamental forces in Kozhikode recently.
The police have registered a case against those who participated in this program, organizing FLOUTING COVID-19 guidelines.
It also invited criticism to the March secretariat here last week, where hundreds of workers participated.
Congress has also canceled all public programs for two weeks given the sharp rise in the Covid case.
However, CPM leaders tried to deflect criticism to organize party conferences that violated the Covid protocol by continuing to justify their actions by saying that the party dropped several public meetings in connection with the District Conference to comply with Covid norms.
Both Congress and BJP have called CPM claims as a paralyzed reason for hundreds of party workers participating in a three-day conference.
