Nagpur: More than a week after surgery begins, business in Cinema Ralls has not taken.
In addition to the Covid-19 protocol, the time loosening the sidewalk is the main factor behind the audience away from the theater.
The theater was again operating on October 23, with a strict Covid protocol following permission from the state government and local agencies.
The pre-diwali period traditionally becomes a loose time for the theater, without the release of a large ticket and the remaining people are preoccupied with preparation.
Sporadic Rush was observed for several shows but it was also limited to 50% residential according to the rules, which had not dropped well with the theater owner.
They demand 100% post-diving residence and financial assistance to maintain their business.
In the first week after opening after hiatus 20 months, Cinema Halls got lukewarm response because they run a film that has been released on the OTT platform.
Some halls also face technical disorders.
Pradeep Bajaj, who operates three screens in Wardha, said they run Bollywood and Hollywood film performances released in OTT.
“We got a good collection in several Hollywood film shows.
But still a residential hat remains low,” he said.
Sanjay Surana, who runs five single screen halls in the city, said in the last week the situation was Abysmal.
“We don’t have a fresh content to realize the audience.
People are reluctant to enjoy the cinema in the theater because they have to sit with a single chair gap.
It sounds ridiculous when a family comes together.
They can stay together at home but can’t sit next to each other on Film hall, “he said.
Surana added that the restrictions on eating in the hall and 50% occupancy only instill fear.
“The cinema is still close all and the audience is worried that the risk is higher.
This is because of the conditions worn to us.
All other services are now allowed to run their capacity but for cinemas,” he said.
He added that some technical challenges were also trimmed during playback in the past week.
Surana added that other state governments have released electricity bills to ease the financial burden on the cinema.
“The Maharashtra government can also help us,” he said.
Bajaj added that after being diwali they expect revival.
“We hope to get 100% residential licenses like other countries,” he said.
