Coimbatore: Covid Care Center Functioning in the College Coimbatore Government Art for the past seven months has shifted to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
When Covid -19 cases peaked during the second wave, the treatment center was established to accommodate asymptomatic patients in institutions including colleges, which are near CMCH.
When offline classes have been continued, college authorities want to use the room.
“Only 100 Covid cases are reported every day, which can be managed by CMC.
So, we decided to shift the center of the GAC,” said a senior CMCH official.
“4,451 beds in Covid hospitals and 3,884 beds in Covid care centers are for Covid patients in this district.” TNN.
