Pune: The number of cases of Covid-19 actively fell to the lowest level for eight months 942 in the rural part of the Metropolitan Pune (PMR) area on Monday before rising a little on Tuesday, recorded a 25% decline in the last eight days.
Trends, said experts, showed a slowing pandemic, but a clear picture is expected to only appear in the coming days.

Any spike in the case can be associated with the weaknesses of people during the festival,” said a health professional.
The active case has fallen in Pune and the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal limit too.
In the PMC limit, the calculation has fallen to the lowest level of multi-month 645, while it has shrunk to only 445 in the Pimpri Chinchwad area, taking the number of active cases of PMR as a whole to 2,059 – a decrease of 17% since the beginning of this month.
Health officials said the decline in daily detection and the increase in recovery was the main reason for reducing the general burden in the region.
“Rural areas have reported less than 200 cases every day for the past few days, without Spurt in the number of cases.
Daily cases within the PMC and PCMC limits continue to survive below 100 for some time now,” said a health official.
Casel was active in the rural part deep in front of Pune and the limit of Pimpri Chinchwad for almost three months (July, August, September), making it a field of concern for health authorities.
It was only last month that cases began to decline.
“For five consecutive days, the rural part has added less than 100 new cases every day.
We expect a similar trend to continue.
The drop in cases has also caused a decrease in the hotspot area in the rural part.

PMC officials say they will monitor the case everyday because the next two weeks are very important.
