New Delhi: The Covid-19 Daily case in the country fell below 30,000 marks on Monday to the lowest number in 125 days while the death toll from the virus was dipped to the lowest level of 111 days 373.
This is the first time since March 30 that the daily toll road From Pandemi has fallen below 400.
India reported 29,314 new cases on Monday.
The last time the daily count fell below 30,000 was on March 16.
Cases see a sharp decline every Monday due to lower testing and lack of staff during the weekend.
On Sundays, India has recorded 38,574 new cases.
Kerala continues to see the increasing case for the third week that runs.
However, in the week ended on Sunday, the state saw the growth rate of new cases fell to 4%, from 8.1% in the previous week.
Kerala remains a Covid hotspot from the country, with 95,600 cases recorded in weeks passing with an average of more than 13,600.
Northeast remains another area that is worried.
Weekly cases continue to surge in several states.
Manipur reported a 30% surge, up from 26.6% in the previous week.
It also saw the highest increase in cases in the Northeast in the absolute term, with 7,091 new infections in a week, up from 5,445 on seven days earlier.
In Arunachal Pradesh, the case rose 24% after a 44% increase in the previous week.
Meanwhile, in Maharashtra, the daily average remains more than 8,000, with the country recorded 56,391 new cases compared to 59,622 in the previous week.
