Budapest: Coronavirus infection regarding a record level in many countries in Europe during winter, encouraging action to act from the World Health Organization which describes a new wave as a “big concern”.
The number of cases that jumped, especially in Eastern Europe, has encouraged a debate about whether to reintroduce the sidewalk on the movement before the Christmas holiday season and in how to persuade more people to get vaccination.
The conversation came as several countries in Asia, with the exception of famous Chinese, reopening their tourism sector throughout the world.
“The current transmission rate in 53 countries in the European region is a big worries,” said Hans Hans Kluge, added that the spread was exacerbated by the Delta variant which was more transmitting.
This virus spreads faster in the winter months when people collect indoors.
Kluge warns before that if Europe follows the current trajectory, there may be 500,000 deaths related to Covid in this region in February.
“We have to change our tactics, from reacting to the Covid-19 surge, to prevent them from happening from the start,” he said.
The area saw a 6% increase in new cases last week, with almost 1.8 million new cases, compared to the previous week.
The number of deaths rose 12% in the same period.
Germany, the largest economy in Europe, reported 33,949 new infections, the highest daily increase since the commencement of Pandemi last year.
Cases in Russia and Ukraine soared.
The new Austrian daily Coronavirus infection jumped towards a record set a year ago, making locking for those who are not vaccinated more likely.
The prevalence of Covid-19 in England rose to the highest level on the record in October, said Imperial College London, led by a large number of cases in children and waves in the southwest.
Slovakia reported 6,713 new cases, also records, while new daily cases in Hungary were more than double than last week to 6,268.
Poland, the largest economy of Eastern Europe, reported 15,515 cases everyday on Thursday, the highest number since April.
Croatia and Slovenia on Thursday both reported a record of daily infections.

In Poland, the mask used is mandatory in a closed public space while cinema, theater and the hotel have a capacity limit of 75%.
The Hungarian government has not answered Reuters’ questions about potential actions.
