Kolkata: At least three detention zones in the buyaghata-phoolan area continue to disturb the corporation of Kolkata Municipal and Kolkata police.
While focusing on micro detention is still strong in southern kolkata pockets which include Karaya, Ballygunge, Alipore and Netaji Nagar, pockets in the eastern suburb of the city, lying in the ward 31 and 33, stubbornly still in micro city.
-Containment zones for the longest time.
One address here, a complex, has been on the list since the beginning of the beginning of January.
“Three Areas – Circular Canal Road, Belowaghata Main Road and Suren Sarkar Road – have seen various blocks entering the detention zone even in the last two waves.
The difference this time is that new cases continue to be reported from all of these zones.
Containment Micro List Last Updated On Thursday night.
New casts have been reported even on December 15 and 16 of these areas.
However, on the positive side, new cases declined and may not be long before this address managed to get out of the list of detention zones, “said one KMC health department officer.
Anindya Routh, Chair of Borough III, on Sunday recognizes that the high complex and housing complex is still a worrying factor for the Covid-Combat team.
“Some high increases still record new cases, making the State Health Department act hard so that infection does not spread,” Routh said.
However, the Chairperson of Borough KMC expressed hope that the detention tag of this area will be immediately removed.
According to a KMC health department official who was assigned to treat buyaghata-kankurgachi belt, the infection rate remained stable in several high complexes or housing because of being apathetic to testing between parts of the residents.
“If we can bring residents up high with mild symptoms under the voluntary testing scheme, the infection rate will drop,” said the citizenship official.
While KMC health officials have pointed to their proximity to Salt Lake as an excuse behind the proliferation of cases, the fact remains that this area, a slum and flat mixture, has several access points.
Residents of various strata community often refuse to obey the rules of detention, police said “even though there are signs prepared, this is a well-connected area, witnessing many movements, even outsiders,” said an officer from the Eastern Suburban Division.
He quotes the example of Sarkar Road which has 16 addresses under detention.
“While houses under detention change, the large entry of people in this extensive area prevents the region from leaving a list of micro containment,” he added.
The police said they did not see “one pill solution” with increased Covid cases.
“Now Covid has reached the apartment, we chose the highest-hit zone with a rotation of one by one rather than turning off the entire area and concentrating on controlling the disease,” said an officer in Lalbazar.
