Ahmedabad: Covid cases are active in the Ahmedabad district, including the city, reaching 967 on Tuesday with 11 new cases and 55 discharge patients in 24 hours.
Ahmedabad is the only district with more than 1,000 active cases until Monday night.
The death of one patient was one of the lowest since March, experts said.
Meanwhile, the number of patients treated in hospitals touched the lowest level of all time at 3 for private hospitals while civil hospitals only had 23 patients, the lowest since April.
Dr.
J P medical supervisor said that the 1,200 bed hospital had several Covid wards, but another ward had begun to recognize non-covid patients.
“With a drop in Covid’s case, we have also witnessed a downward trend in the case of mukormycosis,” Dr.
Modi said.
“Today we have around 95 active patients.
At its peak, we used to admit 35 to 40 patients every day.
We believe that the decline in cases is directly associated with a decrease in Covid cases,” he said.
