PANAJI: Goa records 25 fresh covid-19 infections for 1,073 tests carried out on Sundays.
While active case cases reached 449, a positive daily case was 2.3%, less than what was recorded on Saturday.
A health worker said the decline in cases recorded on Sunday had been because less tests were carried out because the celebration season like most health centers were closed.
“We need to see what happened this week.
Some increases in case are expected and we must be careful,” said health workers.
During the day, three patients were hospitalized and one was sent home.
With 37 recorded recovery, the recovery rate was at 97.8%.
On Sunday, the Urban Panaji Health Center has 57 active cases, the highest in the state, followed by Margao with 48 active cases.
