Mumbai: This country adds 11,877 cases of Covid-19 on Sunday, a spike of 29% from the previous day (9,170).
The city recorded 7,792 infections, an increase of 26% over 6,186 cases on Saturday.
The case has surged every day for about two weeks, except last Monday – mainly because of fewer test weekend phenomena on Sundays.
The state reported nine deaths while the city had no death.
The total case in the country rose to 67 lakh.
The city increased to 7.98 lakh.
While the country’s active case jumped to 42,024, the number of City touched 29,819-a soared 1,300% from December 20 (2,061), Mumbai’s day began to see the third wave of waves.
Mumbai also saw 503 inpatient on Sunday, up from 389 on Saturday and 497 on Friday.
Of the 503 inpatient care, 56 patients must begin with oxygen support.
The omicron count reached 510 in the state with 50 new infections.
The city and Thane reported each new case.
Pune City confirmed 36 cases, Pimbri-Chinchwad had eight, and Pune (rustic) and Sangli reported two of each.
In the new protocol, the district can reduce the isolation period of Covid-19’s positive health workers from seven days to five days during the lack of staff if they are without symptoms and are fully vaccinated.
