Covid cases increased faster than the first and second waves

Panaji: Goa has witnessed escalation faster than Covid-19 cases in the ongoing third and second and second wave wave.
The case began to rise from December 23 when the daily case count crossed 50, with cases ranging from 30 and 50 a week before.
Since then, the growth is not stable.
Doctor, Dr.
Anil Mehndiratta and Dr.
Haradatt Karande both agreed that Goa could see its peak after 15 to 20 days.
“We might see the peak at the end of the month, or the first week of February,” Karande said.
With exponential increases in cases, Mehndiratta said its peak must occur at the end of the month or the latest in the following month.
“In the last 10 days the case has doubled.
We have seen a casing starting from 100 to 2,000.
We will continue to see a big increase except for prevention, which people have been forgotten,” said Mehndiratta.
Consulting a doctor at the Health Hospital, Dr.
Chitralekha Nayak, said the cave is expected to reach peak within one month, in a shorter period as seen in South Africa.
“However, the trend of case cases that are likely since the first week of February, may linger for a longer period with the election,” said Nayak.
Goa will go to poll on February 14, while the vote count on March 10.
While the Election Commission said there was no public meeting and demonstrations would be permitted until January 15, even in small events, such as opening the election office, crowding occurred and with almost everyone maintaining social distance.
Under this wave, not long after the daily case count passed 50, rather than the increase in infection was very phenomenal.
Case doubled in five days and passed 250 in two more days.
Instead, during the first wave of 2020, it took 20 days for cases to reach the 100 mark with a daily average of around 56 and 20 more days to violate 200-mark on July 27.
The peak during the first wave was seen after 47 more days when the daily infection touched 740 on September 12 and the highest active number reached 5,920 on September 19.
During the destructive second wave, which began in March 202, the peak occurred 37 days after Goa violated 200.
But throughout February and until March 1921, the daily average case ranged from 50 and 100.
Counts of infection violated 200 signs in eleven days and It took another day to reach its peak with 4,195 daily infections on May 7 weeks to touch the highest active count of 32,953 cases.
