NEW DELHI: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Patna on Wednesday Started clinical trials of Their Native Covaxin for children from the age group of Two to 18 Decades, Based on Prasar Bharati.
Registration for those kids to take part in the second stage clinical trial of this Covid-19 vaccine was first created available from last week in AIIMS-Patna.
The move came following the Drugs Controller General of India (DGCI) granted consent for the stage 2-3 clinical trial of Covaxin in kids.
AIIMS-Patna Was chosen among the websites to its trial along with other institutes like AIIMS-Delhi along with Meditrina Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur.
AIIMS-Patna superintendent Dr CM Singh had stated they’re targeting to comprise between 70 and 80 kids from the trial period that started with the enrollment of a 13-year-old Patna boy, on Friday.
But, those who get enrolled won’t be vaccinated.
He said physicians will find the RT-PCR and antibody tests performed and just people that are negative or haven’t tested positive before will be permitted.
