Covid Concerns Loom AS Maha Festival The season starts on Monday

Mumbai: Towards the festival season, which began on Monday with Janmashtami, the feeling of Deja Vu has gripped the health care experts of the city and doctors.
On September 2020 that the worst peak of the first wave began only a few days after the offer of Ganpati Bappa Adieu to the city in the last week of August.
Two weeks before the Ganpati Festival, in the third week of August by 2020, the state has registered Covid 1.7 lakh cases, while two weeks after the festival adds 2.5 lakh cases – leap almost 50%.
A year later, the decline in the second wave of Covid has led to the easing of most Norms related to Covid-19, which has caused a slight increase in everyday cases in the city for the last four days in a row: after almost two weeks register less than 300 cases every day, BMC Record 391 cases on Saturdays, and 362, 398 and 342 cases in previous days.
However, the total cases added in the state and city since the opening have not been significant.
The state added more than 81,000 cases in the first 14 days of August, which has dropped 64.401 from 15 to 28, while the number of cases in the city is almost around 4,000.
The fear of the third wave has led the Central Ministry of Health issued direction to countries to maintain strict inspection during the celebration season, which began with Janmasthami on Monday and continued with the Yain Festival of Paryushan (3 to 10 September) and GanPati (10 to 19 September) Diwali in 4.
November Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday but again appeal to people to ensure that public health is prioritized for celebrations.
“The state has issued an advisor regarding the protocol to be followed during the celebration season.
The threat of Covid-19 is still there so that all political, social and religious groups must follow the norms issued by the government,” Thackeray said in response to the central advisor.
The state government has seized the festival even this year, canceling the event Handi Dahi, and has not officially opened a religious place.
A doctor shows that easing of restrictions has been to “higher levels” this time compared to September 2020: more people have approval for train trips and there is no limit on inter-city or district trips.
However, a senior state government official said that the main difference between this year and last year was that vaccine coverage in Mumbai was significant and the possibility would help keep the case low.
But BMC Executive Health Officers Dr.
Mangala Gomare was not disturbed.
He said a four-day increase was very little and could be associated with opening.
Dr.
Shashank Joshi, a member of the State Task Force, said that the trend must be watched for several days before the alarm was raised.
“A little increase because it unlocked the expected key.
Testing levels about 1%, and that’s good,” he said.
