Madurai / Trichy: Covid-19’s front level from Madurai Regency fell to 0.1% on Saturday with only nine positive tests among 7,175 samples taken.
In Virudhunagar, which also shows the same level, only four of the 3,688 samples tested positively.
In the area, Madurai was attended by Dindigul (0.2), Tuticorin (0.4), Theni (0.5), Ramanathapuram (0.5), Tirunelveli (0.5), Tenkasi (0.5), Kanyakumari (0.8) ) and Sivaganga (0.8).
Trichy’s front level is 1% on Saturday.
Madurai added 14 new cases and ten southern districts 115 while Trichy had 57 and the middle area 282 on Sundays.
Madurai district has 11 recovery, 143 active cases and no death on Sundays.
Kanyakumari (23) added the highest number in the south while Dindigul, Virudhunagar and Ramanathapuram have five of each followed by Thyi (6).
The active case in the region rose to 1,329 of 1,314 on Saturday while three people died.
In Trichy, the number of active cases was dipped in 554 out of 566 on Saturday while the district also registered two deaths.
Thanjavur recorded one death.
From 74,222 positive cases so far, the district runs out 72,663.
The active case of the region fell to 3,223 from 3,273 on Saturday.
The region issued 298,174 patients from 305,475 positive cases registered.
