MUMBAI: Coronavirus-induced limitations will be increased from Friday from 18 from 36 Maharashtra districts in which the hardness rate and oxygen occupancy have increased drastically, the state authorities said.
Disaster management ministry Vijay Wadettiwar made the statement following a meeting of the State Disaster Management Authority on Thursday.
The lockdown-like limitations, enforced in April this year once the next wave of this pandemic totaled, could be increased in 18 districts in which the payoff rate is 5% or less and also the occupancy of oxygen in hospitals will be less than 25%, ” he explained.
All these 18 areas are Aurangabad, Bhandara, Buldhana, Chandrapur, Dhule, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Jalgaon, Jalna, Latur, Nagpur, Nanded, Nashik, Yavatmal, Washim, Wardha, Parbhani and Thane.
All restrictions are improved in such districts,” he explained.
Limits in Mumbai are relaxed partly, however the traveling local trains, even the country capital’s lifeline, wouldn’t be available to the public as of today, the minister stated.
