Ayodhya: Ayodhya Administration on Wednesday began to evacuate worshipers who sipped the city of the temple for the ‘Saman Jhula Mela’ (Festival Monsoon) to enforce the Pandemic Protocol in the middle that the third covid wave was possible.
Administration has sealed the district border, ordered the closure of the temple and shopping at Saryhu Ghats.
Only those who carry a negative RPCR report issued during the 24-hour range will be allowed to enter the city, said Anuj Jha District Judge.
Authorities also suggest the Temple Management Committee to ban pilgrims from the night stay at the temple.
The celebration at the Maniparvat Temple, which holds the centrestage during the ‘Sawan Mela’ has been peeled with the administration that prohibits procession, ceremonies or collecting worshipers for Puja.
Wednesday morning, idols are placed on the swing to mark the ‘Sawan Jhula’ festival, which continues to ‘Raksha Bandhan’, according to tradition.
There was a spread of heavy police at all entry points to Ayodhya even when the authorities quickly evacuated hundreds of those who gathered in the city to overtake the wave of pandemic.
“Traffic has been transferred and only those who carry negative Covid reports that are allowed to enter.
Bathing in Ghats has been banned, but the command will not affect the daily routine of local males, which bathes in Saryhu before doing rituals,” said the district judge said.
