New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has identified 791 women whose widows due to Pandemic Covid-19, and have submitted a report to the city government to ensure their rehabilitation.
The Commission has also conducted a social survey of all these women to help the government in the process of rehabilitation of social surveys carried out at the grassroots level by DCW through the Mahila Pancayat network.

Nearly 28.57 percent of women do not have a source of income while almost 60 percent of women have a monthly income of less than Rs 15,000, found.
It also found that 597 women have not been vaccinated until the date of the survey.
“The Commission strongly believes that it is very important to get these women to vaccinate priority.
The Commission has recommended the government to issue orders to district judges to get these women being vaccinated,” DCW said.
