Pune: The Civic body has received 7,250 applications from relatives of Covid-19’s deceased patients for EX Gratia payments respectively, since the scheme was announced last month.
The National Disaster Management Authority in November has directed the state to withdraw this number through a state disaster response fund.
“The process of verifying documents and other details is ongoing.
All valid applications will be processed and relatives will be compensated accordingly,” said Sanjeev Wavare, PMC Assistant Medical Officer.
Online systems have been introduced for applications.
The state government has launched the Mahacovid1relief.in website for KIN to apply for Ex Gratia payments.
The PMC area recorded 9,114 Covid deaths since the plague of pandemic in March 2020.
KIN around 1,900 Covid victims have not submitted their application for Ex Gratia.
