Covid Deaths: 1,241 Families in Delhi each RS 50K respectively

New Delhi: The Delhi government channeled EX Gratia once by RS 50,000 to 1,241 families under ‘Mukhyamantri Parivar Arthik Sahayta Yojana’ on Monday night.
This scheme is intended to help families who have lost members for Covid.
The district has completed verification in 5,911 of the 6,230 families applied.
Like and when verification is done and the case is approved, the amount of ex-gratia will be released in the cases too.
CM Arvind Kejriwal has launched a scheme on July 6 this year.
Verify the cases of taking speed after the Chief Secretary Vijay Dev recently directed senior officials to monitor the scheme and ensure verification in all cases applied earlier.
Sanjeev Khirwar, who is the main income secretary and commissioner Division, is monitoring the implementation of the scheme.
Previously, the Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi government to speed up the disbursement process.
The process has been further efficient and more than 5,000 verification is complete last week.
On Monday, verify 5,911 of 6,230 cases have been completed.
A government official said disbursement in the approved case would likely be carried out in two working days.
Applicants originally faced problems by uploading and preparing documents such as the Certificate of Death and Cable Certificate.
Hundreds of survey teams were then made at the district level to help families apply.
The office concerned has been directed to remove each application within three working days.
“In some cases, there are some interference at first.
For example, some applications are named the deceased and several other families outside the city,” an official phrase.
Online Links have been integrated with the e-district websites that exist from the Delhi government and the same portal are also used for monitoring everyday schemes.
This scheme is still open and fulfilling the family requirements can still register.
Rs 50,000 was given as Ex Gratia for families who lost members for Covid, while retiring RS 2,500 was made for orphans by losing parents to infection.
So far, 6,230 applications have been accepted for Payment of Ex Gratia and 3,670 applications for retirement.
Around RS 4.2 Crore is disbursed on Sunday in 837 cases.
Among 11 districts, the New Delhi District was allocated RS 14 Crore and the remaining districts, each Rs 12 Crore on July 9 for payment under the scheme.
An additional amount of Rs 15.5 Crore available below the head is also being allocated between the district.
“The proposal for the allocation of additional funds for RS 30 Crore songs has been approved and given by the Ministry of Finance to release immediately as an ex-Gratia component of the scheme,” said a Ministry of Finance official.
