The DDMA meeting, which was chaired by Lieutenant Governor of Anil Baijal and was attended by the Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal, also discussed ways to strictly uphold the existing restrictions to examine the increased coronavirus case and its omicron variant.
“Given the increase in positive cases it was decided to close the restaurant and bar and to allow only ‘take away’ facilities.
It was also decided to allow the operation of only one weekly market per day per zone,” said Baijal in a tweet.
Officers are also recommended to strictly ensure people wear masks and adhere to social blasphemy norms in the market and public areas to break the transmission chain, he said in other tweets.
It was also discussed at the DDMA meeting that restrictions imposed in Delhi must be expanded in the region of the national capital also given the flow of people who were not blocked.
At present, eating facilities at restaurants are permitted to operate at 50 percent of their seating capacity.
The bar is also allowed to open with 50 percent seating capacity.
The meeting also discussed the decline in full seating capacity on the Metro train and city bus starting from now to 50 percent, officials said.
