Covid Demands: Staff Road to Improve Campaign

Gurgaon: Haryana Roadways Employees will launch an outreach campaign from Monday to mobilize workers and increase their demonstrations to attract the attention of the state of the state of their old demands, including Covid-19 safety nets and compensation to workers who surrender to Covid-19 at work.
In the state-level meeting, road employees, Haryana Roadways employees announced that they will start an outreach campaign in all 22 depots throughout the state.
This has directed all district level teams to arrange gate meetings and hold a consciousce generator session in small groups.
During these meetings, union leaders will listen to the workers’ problems and mobilize them to support their demonstrations against the state government.
“We have been very quietly working with the Department during Covid-19.
But the government does not recognize our work.
We have not seen any action for our demands that have been delayed since 2016, despite repetitive promises made by the Minister of Transport and Chief Minister.
Now, we will start an outreach campaign on July 12.
It will be a two-way communication campaign where workers will tell us about their problems and we will put it in the design of our last demands, while we will mobilize to stand with us.

During the campaign, workers, led by their union leaders, will also meet each general manager from their depots and tell them about the problem of workers.
Workers will also submit a memorandum, demand one-on-one meeting with the Minister of Transportation.
Road employees have complained that despite working at the forefront during a pandemic, the government has not recognized it as a Covid soldier and provides benefits used by other government employees.
They added that the employee scores surrendered to Covid-19 while doing their duties had not been compensated.
“We have worked at the forefront but have not benefited or a special bonus for that.
Even the number that is committed to workers who lose their lives because Covid-19 is hardly channeled.
Also, we are not happy with the compensation of Rs 5 Lakh and the amount of insurance,” Add Kirmara.
Workers also demanded regularization of all employees recruited during 1992 to 2002, a better salary value for the driver, release of bonuses for the past three years, and brought 14,000 new buses in the State Fleet.
They want the government to release a bonus that has matured since 2016.
