Pune: The number of cases of Covid-19 daily recorded a little drops in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Saturday, but it still remained above 16,000 marks for the second day in a row.
In addition, recovery also rose to nearly 12,000 in this region in the last 24 hours.
The area recorded 16,362 cases on Saturday, including 8,246 from the Pune City area, 4,875 from the Pimpri Chinchwad area and 3,241 from rural and Cantonese boundaries.
The area has added a record of 16,618 patients on Friday.
As many as 11,951 recovery recorded at PMR on Saturday.
Of these, 7,368 comes from the PMC limit.
With this, Kaseload actively rose to 89,673 at PMR on Saturday night.
This includes 86,807 patients in house isolation and 2,866 treated in various hospitals.
About 97% of active cases are in home care.
A report by Bhagwan Pawar District Health Officer stated that 39,081 samples were examined at PMR on Saturday, which drives overall sample testing above 98 lakh.
More than 19,000 tests were carried out within the PMC limit.
The sample examination at Pimpri Chinchwad also increased to 12,900, while 7,098 samples were examined in rural areas and Cantonese.
Today’s peposititivity level in PMR reached 41%.
