Covid Fund: BMC View Kitty Rainy-Day for RS 300CR

Mumbai: Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) spent around 1,300 crore at the battle of Pandemi Covid-19 this year.
With all the funds that are intended for pandemic for this year, the richest civil bodies in the country have transferred a proposal to transfer the additional 300 crore for Covid’s relevant expenditure until March 2022.
In its budget in February 2021, BMC has been allocated around RS 1,380 Crore for Covid and out of this, RS 1303 Crore has been used in November 2021.
City corporation will now transfer Hospital 300 Crore from his emergency funds to pay the Covid bill.
The Civic’s body has used around RS 400 Crore from its emergency funds to handle Pandemi-19 Pandemi BMC officials say that it might require more funds for Covid and it will divert money from funds as well for land acquisition.
BMC has placed a proposal to divert RS 300 Crore to Covid before the Standing Civic Committee.
According to opposition parties, so far, BMC has spent almost 3,000 crore crore at battle pandemic.

BJP has demanded white papers on BMC expenditures in Covid-19.
“Despite writing several letters and asking questions, BMC failed to send detailed contracts.
Almost every purchase has been reduced and has a large siphoning of money on behalf of a pandemic.
The majority of contracts are given without floating tenders.

There are 1,700 beds in Kanjijurmarg, and 1,100 beds at the Sion Center.
The proposal for the Oxygen Pipe Lay RS 1 Croreto at the Monad Jumbo Center was also placed in the presence of the Standing Civic Committee on Friday.
