Mumbai: International passengers fly to Mumbai and other airports in Maharashtra now have to adjust to only a set of entry regulations, those charged by the Government of Trade Union.
In an order passed on Friday, the state government removed separate restrictions previously issued, which included the neglect of RT-PCR tests for international leaflets which were fully vaccinated.
Now all international leaflets, even those who are fully vaccinated, will require RT-PCR negative reports with 72 hours validity.
This is in line with the Government’s norms.
Until now, international passengers flew to Maharashtra had to take two sets of entry guidelines, those issued by the Government of Trade Union and those with countries.
In the order issued by the Head of Secretary of Sitaram Kunte, the guidelines issued by the Government Government will replace all orders issued by international travelers.
Orders have also provided assistance to passengers from European countries, Middle Eastern countries and South Africa arriving in the state.
Passengers who arrive from these countries are asked to enter 14 quarantine and RT-PCR tests that are obliged during their quarantine period, now they will be treated according to other international travelers and will not be asked to follow other limits.
The state government has issued orders in December regarding additional protocols for travelers from these regions because of the surge in Delta variant cases in the UK.
