New Delhi: Drawing of the second wave experience of Covid infection to prepare a third if it affects the coming months, the Ministry of Health has agreed to release more than Rs 7,200 Crore or 50% of Crore Crore RS 23,123 Emergency response packages announced in July.
The ministry hopes that all 1,755 PSA oxygen plant plants will be assigned at the end of August.
If the oxygen plant that will be governed by the psus is also taken into account, a total of 2,200 of these plants will function in the near future.
At present, around 375 plants have been assigned throughout the state and 500 are in the advanced stage and will likely be regulated immediately, the official source said.
The government is focused on medical infrastructure, stock buffers of drugs and the availability of oxygen to the district level as a priority area under the emergency response package to prevent the possible disadvantages that occur when the second wave struck.
According to the response package guidelines, the Ministry targets the availability of district level oxygen with at least one oxygen tank of 10,000 kilos on standby.
It is also part of the plan to install 961 liquid medical oxygen storage tanks with support up to 1,450 facilities for medical gas pipelines (MGPS), with the aim of supporting at least one unit per district.
The Ministry of Health is preparing a benchmark for the peak of the case load achieved in the second wave in May and also takes into account the challenges presented by Delta and Delta Plus.
