Nagpur: Getting the status of ‘Covid Hospital’ without meeting the Fire and Electrical Safety Protocols standards now it will be difficult.

Lavangare-Verma has also asked the collectors and technical experts from various departments to reflect on the installation of ‘gas detectors or alarms’ after deliberation at the secretary level review meeting.
“The alarm or gas detector will be able to detect concentrations or accumulated combustible gases such as oxygen in the icus or room in the hospital where their use is higher,” he told toi.
Lavangare-Verma has also instructed the district administration to ensure that private hospitals did not get the ‘B format’ approval they were intended after complying with safety standards, such as doing artificial exercises, if compliance with fires and electricity audits were not fulfilled.
He also urged the Head of Administration to ensure a vacancy for fire safety officers was filled with local civil bodies through the recruitment process.
Meanwhile, the statistics shared by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation Fire Department showed that only 45% of hospitals had submitted their ‘B’ form this year, 20% had a fire fitness certificate, 27% had conducted their fire audits and 71% had completed Drill Mock.
