Jaipur: The state government has identified 109 private hospitals that have 60+ bed capacity to regulate oxygen plants.
Orders have been spent for hospitals to connect 50% of their beds with a centralized oxygen system.
In Jaipur, 43 private hospitals have been identified to prepare plants.
The state government encourages facilities by giving them subsidies in building factories.
A senior health department official said, “During the second wave, we witnessed a sudden increase in oxygen requirements for patient care.
Such crisis situations should not appear if the third wave appears.
We have decided to establish an oxygen factory in the government hospital and us Also encouraged private facilities to establish their oxygen plants to avoid the crisis situation.
“The Ministry of Health continues to increase the beds supported by oxygen in the state.
On May 2020, Covid Hospitals had 6,949 beds supported by oxygen.
In the past year, the number of beds such rose to 18,540 (on May 2021).
Now, the Ministry of Health plans to install more than 35,000 oxygen concentrators, where more than 20,000 have been installed.
Before the second wave, the Ministry of Health had 1500 oxygen concentrators.
Until now, the Covid situation was controlled in the state.
Eighteen people tested positive in the state on Wednesday took the overall calculation to 9.53,733.
There are no deaths reported.
The country toll stands at 8,954.
The district that reported new cases was Udaipur (5), Jaipur (4), Nagaur (2), Pali (2), Ajmer (1), Banswara (1), Barmer (1), Sawai Madhopur (1), Sikula (1)).
