New Delhi: Vaccination coverage in India continues to remain below the global average and its ranking between 29 countries with more than 50 million populations has fallen over the past two months in terms of the number of doses per 100 populations and the percentage of people is fully vaccinated.
Against the global average of 96 doses per 100 population on November 16, India has reached 81 per 100.
Similarly, 41% of the world’s population has been fully vaccinated, India has provided both doses of only 27% of the population.
Among the 29 densest countries, India is now ranked 16th in terms of doses per 100 populations and 19 in terms of a percentage of population that is fully vaccinated.
This is even though India has long been the largest producer of vaccines in the world.
Both countries left behind India in September but has now lined up in front of Iran and Vietnam.
