Gurgaon: The past few weeks have seen a struggle to beef up healthcare infrastructure, chiefly Covid care centers, to encourage hospitals.
And while midsize centers are installed in stadiums and community centers, websites formally earmarked for establishing dispensaries are lying empty at 90 percent of the significant residential townships from town, jointly home to a huge share of its metropolitan population.
In certain areas, they’ve become garbage dumps.
Sources said that there were 28 such websites in 15 licensed colonies.
Many have been marketed by programmers to personal healthcare centers but many others have yet to be put to some use.
Medical centers in colonies might also have functioned as vaccination centers for individuals residing in the immediate area.
In the lack of these areas, the government was made to look at school campuses as vaccination websites.
