LONDON: The Body of the British vaccine adviser announced that Jab Coronavirus was not recommended for healthy children between 12 and 15.
Combined committees on vaccines and immunization (JCVI) gave an assessment on Friday, by saying the Jab would not be recommended to those on In the age group on health land alone, but the body has suggested the government to see “wider problems” including the impact of the virus in schools, the Xinhua news agency reported.
Decisions about healthy children are based on concerns about very rare side effects of the Pfizer vaccine that causes heart inflammation.
When children are at low risk of viruses, JCVI decides that vaccination will only offer “marginal advantages” and, therefore there is “not enough” evidence to offer mass vaccination to this age group.
However, children aged 12 to 15 years with blood cancer, sickle cell disease, type 1 diabetes, congenital heart disease, poorly controlled asthma and other serious breathing conditions, must be offered a vaccine, which is suggested by JCVI.
Advisory body has announced the most risky children in this age group that has a underlying health condition, including the main heart of chronic, lungs, kidneys, liver and neurological conditions, must have jab.
Meanwhile, the BBC reported that a group of 150,000 children with conditions such as severe neurodisability, down syndrome and a very weak immune system, and those who live with vulnerable adults have qualified for vaccines.
The Ministry of Health and Social Care (DHSC) said medical officers in four countries in the UK will provide further advice on vaccination of young people in this age group after the assessment provided by JCVI.
Independent drug regulators, medicines and health product regulatory agencies (MHRA), have approved Pfizer and Moderna Jabs for those aged 12 years and over after they meet strict safety and effectiveness standards.
More than 88 percent of people aged 16 years and over in the UK have the first dose of vaccines and more than 79 percent are fully inoculated.
