Covid: Maharashtra reported 1,715 new cases, 29 deaths

Mumbai: Maharashtra reported 1,715 positive cases of Coronavirus on Sunday, taking the calculation of state infections to 65,91,697, while 29 deaths encouraged victims to 1,39,789, the health department said.
A total of 2,680 patients were restored during the day, which took the recovery count to 64.19,678, he said.
The state recovery rate is 97.39 percent and mortality rate is 2.12 percent.
With 1,10,465 tests carried out on Sundays, the overall test figure rose to 6,10,20,463.
There are 28,631 active cases in Maharashtra at this time.
Mumbai did not report any death because of the virus during the day, but recorded 366 new cases.
There were 706 new cases and three deaths in the Mumbai division, including one in Raigad and two districts in Vasai-Virar, said the department.
The Nashik division reported 285 new Coronavirus cases, including 202 in the Ahmednagar district.
Pune Division has 528 fresh cases, Kolhapur Division 116 cases, Aurangabad Division 25 Case and Division 44 Case, he said.
Akola Division reported five cases, but the district of Akola and Amravati and both cities did not report one case on Sunday.
Division did not report death.
The Nagpur division witnessed six new cases, but not even a death.
