Covid: Maharashtra to open a mall; Curbs subsided in 25 districts

Mumbai: With the Covid case at Plateau Maharashtra for more than a month now, the state government on Thursday approved sidewalk easing in 25 of 36 districts, including reopening the Mall and Multiplex, expanding hours for restaurants and shops, and allowing to eat on weekends.
The government will also relax the limit for meetings at social and cultural events, but all limitations will continue to apply on Sundays.
25 districts where relaxation will be effective including Mumbai, Thane, Nashik and Nagpur where the indicator of Covid-19 likes the level of pepositives and lower case growth rates than the country’s average.
The remaining 11 districts – Pune, Solapur, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Raigad, Palghar, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Beed and Ahmednagar – have a higher weekly leading level and a case growth rate rather than the average country.
The decision on rolling restrictions was again taken at a meeting with a Covid task force chaired by the Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday.
Formal orders that provide details of relaxation are expected in one or two days, official said.
Health Minister Rajesh Tope who attended the meeting said Timing Shop will be extended from 4pm to 8 nights and eat at the bar and restaurants that are allowed for hours with a capacity of 50%.
Non-essential shops and restaurants may be allowed to remain open until 4pm on Saturday.
Sunday restrictions will continue.
Guest limits for social and cultural events will also increase.
“It has also been agreed to allow the mall, the theater opened at a capacity of 50%.
The state will also insist that the shop owner ensures that their staff is fully vaccinated.
The government will also prevent the use of AC (AC) where large groups are permitted like a wedding room.
It’s better to Companies to open their windows and allow better circulation, “Tope said.
However, there is no consensus in the government to enable the general public to use local trains.
The decision will be taken after a meeting with train officials.
“There is a suggestion that the person who is fully vaccinated must be allowed to take a local train, but checking passengers will need a big workforce.
Concerns are also raised regarding the increase in cases in Kerala and therefore it was decided to drive a return trip for several weeks,” Tope said.
“Some Discussion Rounds are held before completing the limits.
We really monitor a surge associated with the third wave and prepare it too, but economic assistance must be extended to the business community,” Tope said.
In accordance with the renewal of Covid, state-weekly participants are 3.8% and the weekly growth rate on June 27 is 0.11%.
However, several districts such as Satara are in the 8% weekly position and a growth rate of 0.44%, the highest in the state.
“Some districts where relaxation will not be given is still a cause of concern for us.
If needed, limit can be further tightened in the district,” Tope said.
Officials quoted Thackeray who said the authorities had to ensure that the guidelines that would be followed by the company were filled with strictly so relaxation did not lead to a surge in case.
Tope said the state government also strives to vaccinate at a faster speed to reduce the severity of the potential of the third wave.
