Mumbai: The country reported the increase in Covid cases for the third consecutive day on Thursday, but the city, after recording more than 500 cases on Wednesday, registered (457) but the cases remained above 400.

CM Uddhav Thackeray has appealed to the public to follow all Covid restrictions in an effort to reduce crowding to maintain the spread of infection during the examination.
“Cases in many districts where the festival is celebrated in a big way will surely see up.
The only way to ensure that the increase does not flood health infrastructure is to follow restrictions,” said an official from the Ministry of Health.
