Mumbai: Cases of fresh Covid-19 in Mumbai inched very close to 500-mark on Friday, because 497 people were tested positively on infection.
The total Kaseload City has now jumped to 7.39,861, according to the data provided by BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Also, the death toll has now increased to 16,068 with five people who gave up on the virus that day.
The five patients have comorbidities.
Three of them were over 60 years while two belonging to the age group 40 to 60.
On the other hand, 395 people recovered from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, sharing BMC.
With a recovery rate of 97 percent, Mumbai has so far recorded 7.16,511 release.
The city is now left with 4,801 active cases.
The overall growth rate of the Covid-19 case from September 16 to September 22 is 0.06 percent, while the level of doubling is 1,203 days.
The number of buildings closed in the BMC limit is now pitched in 51, while there are no active detention zones (slums and chawls) in the city.
