New Delhi: Only 2% of people are diligent in obeying Covid norms during the festival season, raising concerns over the possibility of another surge in the coming weeks, a survey has revealed according to the Localcirles survey, mask compliance has dropped dramatically when people socialize and Step out in large quantities to shop diwali.
Surveys, who received more than 39,000 home, said that only 2% of residents said that people in their area, district, or cities obeyed Covid norms.
“34% said ‘0-30%’ obedient people, 36% said ’30 -60% ‘, 8% said ’60 -90%’,” survey found.
The survey found that compared to September alone, mask adherence had seen a decline in significance as India continued to report a decrease trend in fresh covid cases.
“While 13% of residents observed high mask compliance at the end of September, this figure drastically fell to 2% at the end of October 2021.

The September survey conducted by Localcirles has revealed that 46% of citizens tend to travel in the celebration season, with a 60% increase in travelers starting July-August.
For follow-up questions about the use of masks at the airport, the train station and the bus stop, only 16% of residents traveled in October said that the compliance of masks was effective in these places.
Furthermore, the survey found that social distance compliance also fell from 6% highest compliance ratings in September to only 3% in October.
“96% of residents traveling in October said social distance norms were not effective during the trip and many stated how there was no effort from the airport authority to implement social distance,” said Localcircles.
