LONDON: After facing a counter-attack for the coverage of the origin of Covid Pandemi, a famous scientific journal – Lancet has now published ‘alternative views’ of 16 scientists.
International team of health experts, in open letters, made attraction for “objective, open, and transparent scientific debate about the origin of SARS-COV-2”.
Scientists “need to evaluate all hypotheses rationally, and weigh their possibilities based on facts and evidence, without speculation about possible political impacts”, writers.
Lancet, has been in February last year, publishing an open letter that “very condemned conspiracy theory” surrounding the Coronavirus outbreak in Wuhan, showing that Covid-19 did not have natural origin.
Earlier this year, it was revealed earlier that Peter Daszak – a British scientist and president of the US-based non-profit alliance who had a direct relationship with China – secretly arranged a famous letter.
The company has also funded research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV).
In a new open letter, scientists discussed the possibility that laboratory research may have played a role in the emergence of the SARS-COV-2 virus.
“We stand together to condemn the conspiracy theory that strongly condemns that Covid-19 does not have natural origin”, they said, in a statement that “gave the effect silence on a wider scientific debate”.
