Ghaziabad: The UP State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (UPSCPCR) has just taken a significant note of titles of children orphaned because of Covid being made public from the press and other institutions when they were uploaded to the Bal Swaraj portalsite.
The kid commission said that unscrupulous elements may make the most of these info and induce them to child trafficking, beggary, along with other offenses.
UPSCPCR chairperson Dr Vishesh Gupta has delivered a letter to each of the district magistrates requesting them to place a direct ban on it and counsel the families involved and deliver the report on the kid commission in a week.
In a letter delivered to district magistrates,” Gupta explained it has come to the notice of this commission which after the information will be uploaded to Bal Swaraj Portal, digital media, media media and other classes are showing the identity of minors about their various portal sites, and they are being made people in WhatsApp categories.
That is a severe breach of the Juvenile Justice Act and infringing on the rights of their youngsters by making their individuality public.
“Such children may be utilised at a wrong manner in the society from anti-social individuals, child trafficking classes, beggary classes and offenders,” the letter said.
These committees are directed to run an onsite investigation of these families and advise them and publish the reports then to the commission per week.
Meanwhile, the district magistrate Ajay Shankar Pandey stated that directions are passed to the sections involved to make certain that these crimes don’t occur.
