New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said the Covid crisis was not a political problem but humanity and confirmed that the government had ensured that nothing starved during a pandemic.
Such a pandemic was witnessed by the world after a very long time, the Parliament Minister Pralhad Joshi quoted the Prime Minister as giving MPS at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting.
The prime minister also said that it was confirmed not one poor “sleep” hungry, said Joshi told reporters.
Modi emphasized that even though the pandemic, the large population received a share, and told BJP parliamentarians who provide assistance to people is their responsibility and not aid, according to Joshi.
He said the Prime Minister asserted that pandemics were humanitarian and non-political problems.
The Prime Minister expressed concern about the opposition attitude, especially the Congress, and said he still believed, he had the right to power, Joshi quoted Modi at the meeting.
He also told BJP MPS that the government was willing to hold discussions in both parliamentary houses, but the opposition showed the most irresponsible behavior, said Joshi.
The source said that in the meeting, Modi asked BJP parliamentarians effectively against the opposition allegations about the government’s Covid response and the availability of vaccines.
He also told parliamentarian members that given the anticipation of the third wave of Covid pandemic, they had to prepare and be ready to put boots on the ground, said the source.
In the Covid vaccination drive, Modi emphasizes that BJP parliamentarians must ensure that the drive in the constituency is done without interruption.
Taking opposition, the Prime Minister showed that in Delhi nearly 20 percent of frontline workers were not until now vaccinated against Covid, they said.
The opposition has attacked the government, accusing “mismanagement” in handling the second wave of pandemic.
