Covid patients are isolated at home to have drugs delivered at their doorstep

HubbalLi: The steep surge in the number of cases of Covid-19 in the Dharwad district, though, most of those infected do not display symptoms, or show very lightly.
As a result, most of Covid patients in the district were quarantined at home.
Although this has reduced the burden on all Covid hospitals appointed in the district, the Ministry of Health wrestles with logistical problems to ensure adequate medical care for those who are quarantined at home.
Now, the district government has been launched, in collaboration with a local body including Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation (HDMC), the clock round service where drugs will be supplied to Covid patients at their door.
Drharwad Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil showed that, although the number of cases reported every day has jumped to the three digits, the percentage of those who were hospitalized were lacking.
“Nearly 95% of those who were infected with Covid were quarantined at home.
There is a possibility that patients who are quarantined at home cannot step out to buy medicines.
To ensure they have everything they need at home, we have decided to give medicine to Their home in all districts, “said Patil Toi.
He added that HDMC, in addition to arranging aid channels that can be contacted by the patient, has deployed staff to provide drugs to the patient’s home.
Patil said, “Helpline is to ensure that there is no delay in delivering drugs.
Zonal officers HDMC will arrange drug delivery in the environment under their jurisdiction, while in rural areas, drugs will be available at the Primary and Central Health Center Health Taluk.
“Including that all PHCS hospitals and taluk have been supplied with sufficient drugs, DC said that they had employed 30 vehicles to give medicines to the house.
Commissioner HDMC Gopal Krishna said that people can call the following numbers for drugs, ask about beds, et al: 0836-2213803; 0836-2213806; 91410151611.
