“The next wave has made a quick drop in Mumbai and Maharashtra and too, sooner than anticipated,” explained Maharashtra Covid task force member Dr Shashank Joshi.
“The decrease occurred mainly because of the limitations and curbs that decreased crowding.
But we will need to lift those curbs with caution to make sure there is not any crowding and individuals celebrate Covid-appropriate behavior,” Joshi said.
The focus today must be to vaccination and executing out sero polls to examine the antibody levels in exposed pockets from the slums, which have been affected during the initial tide in 2020.
“Sero studies performed thus far have revealed diminishing amounts of antibodies one of the town’s slum pockets.
We will need to look at these levels .
In the event the amounts drop , we need to plan ahead to make sure residents are secure with Legislation,” he explained.
On the other hand, the thick tail from the Mumbai and Maharashtra is a reason for stress.
“Our cases have not dropped as radically as has occurred in Delhi,” explained Dr Joshi.
“We will need to test aggressively and possibly even concentrate on home testing to make sure patients have been clinically diagnosed early and treated.”
