NEW DELHI: With 311 MPs Vaccinates fully vaccinated and 127 have taken a dose of their vaccine, running the Covid RT-PCR test will not be a required prerequisite to enter the Parliament’s house complex, said Lok Sabha Om Birla said on Monday.
Birla said all Covid related protocols will occur during the Monsoon Parliament session, scheduled to begin on July 19, and those who have not been vaccinated against the virus will be asked to undergo a RT-PC test before entering.
However, it will not be mandatory for anyone.
This tends to be the first post-covid pandemic session to run full course, with 19 sittings, until August 13.
Of the 543 Lok Sabha MPS, 29 has not been vaccinated, and 12 of them have not taken JAB for medical reasons or because they are infected with Corona.
Along with this, parliamentary staff have also been vaccinated.
Birla also highlighted that the parliament did a record breakdown business despite a pandemic, and a total of 107 laws were enacted by 17thlok Sabha in the first five sitting.
Birla also said the beginning of the Monsun session would mark the first time when the government would respond to all the important things (under 377) which was raised by parliamentarians during zero hours.
