Gurugram: Gurugram is the first district in 14 states and four Union (UTS) regions, securing the top position with the highest recovery rate at 99.44%.
The level of Gurugram recovery is far better than the national average of 97.1%, according to the Portal Covid-19 trade union government.
Deputy Commissioner of Gurugram, Yash Garg, said this was only possible with the efforts of the district health department who adopted several difficult steps to prevent Covid-19 infection in the district.
Garg told that the Covid recovery rate in the capital of the 14 main states in the country was measured.
These include Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), Patna (Bihar), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Gandhinagar (Gujarat), Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Ranchi (Jharkhand), Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), Mumbai (Maharashtra ), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) and Kolkata (West Bengal).
“Gurugram recovery rate stood at 99.44 percent securing the first position with the best recovery rate.
Bhopal with a recovery rate of 99.13 percent came second and Jaipur with 98.33 percent in third place,” Garg said.
Meanwhile, the level of recovery of four UTS stands at: Delhi 98.19 percent, Chandigarh 98.5%, Puducherry 96.92% and the Andaman Islands & Nicobar 98.08%.
“During the second wave of Covid-19, Gurugram is one of the worst-affected cities such as other major cities in the country but with effective preparation of the district dealing with pandemics,” Garg added.
