Kolkata: Analysis of fresh covid cases recorded in the last 10 days shows that South Kolkata has reported a larger positive number – Karaya and Beckbagan parts along with the added field of Tollygunge, Jadavpur, Mukundapur and Patuli reported most cases in the city compared to Kolkata North.
According to Kolkata Municipal Corporation and the source of Kolkata police, several wards in the south reported seven to nine cases every day.

“We have a reason to worry about a little burst in Covid since these areas – limited under three boroughs – have reported many cases even in the first and second waves.

Sixteen markets including Behala, Simulta, Behala Chowrasta, Thakurpur, Haridevpur, Jadavpur, Bansdroni, Garia, Baghajatin, Bijoyh, Sree Colony and Pallisree were under the supervision of the police.
