Covid: Saudi announces a ban on three-year travel for citizens visiting the ‘red list’ countries, including India

Dubai: Saudi Arabia has announced a ban on three-year trips and a decent punishment on citizens who visit countries on the Red Covid-19 royal list, including India.
“Traveling to countries that are prohibited is a clear violation of restrictions on trips related to Covid-19 and updated kingdom instructions,” The Gulf News on Tuesday quoted a report by the Saudi Press Agent (SPA) managed by the Government (SPA) which was said.
The spa report said an official at the Saudi Interior Ministry had warned Saudi residents towards traveling to countries that have been placed on a list of no-travel recently because these countries currently watch waves in the case of Covid-19 and its variants.
Red list countries include UAE, Libya, Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, Iran, Turkey, Armenia, Ethiopia, Somalia, Congo, Afghanistan, Venezuela, Belarus, India and Vietnam.
Source, quoted by the spa, said there were reports of residents traveling to prohibited countries that violated instructions issued by official authorities.
“Those who violate the prohibition of travel will be responsible and slapped with severe punishment,” said the source, adding that those found have violated instructions will be prohibited from traveling abroad for three years.
The ministry asked citizens against traveling directly or indirectly to the red list countries where the pandemic has not been controlled and there is a surge in the cases of mutated Coronavirus strains.
It also urges residents to be careful and away from the area where instability is valid or the virus spreads, and takes all precautions from their goals.
On Tuesday, the calculation of the Royal Coronavirus was at 520,774, including 11,136 active cases, while the total death toll was 8,189.
